Team Ninja in the Witch's House Part #11

(They couldn't see anything, but themselves. Ari clung to Apollo's arm.)

Ari-"It's dark. Anything could come out and eat us."

DJ-"Well, if that happens, let's hope your father finds out and burns this house. I mean it."

(They start walking: DJ in the lead with Viola in her arms, Dillon was behind her, and then Nathon, Kari, Dimitri, Apollo, Ari and Shun clung to Ari. After a while of walking, they came to a door with a note on it. The note read: "Come to my room". It disappeared and they entered. It lead them to a flight of stairs and those flights lead them to a long hall.)

Apollo-"It's pretty bright here."

Ari-"Hm."

Shun-"I'm scared, Ari."

Ari-"Don't worry, Shun. I'll protect you."

Dimitri-"And who's going to protect you?"

Ari-"Shut up, Dimitri!"

Kari-"There's something eerie about this place."

Nathon-"I don't like it either."

Dillon-"Master, is it wise to go any farther?"

(They reach the end of the hall and to a door, but in front of it was the corpse of a black cat.)

DJ-"I don't know anymore."

(They enter through the door into a room. Viola held tightly on to DJ, who thought she might be scared. The room had an eerie feel to it; I don't only mean that because it was half covered in blood. This room must've been a bedroom because there was a blood stained bed in the middle, a chair was toppled over by the bed, a broken tea cup, a shelf and a mirror in one corner and a desk in the other. DJ walks over to the desk and flips open the book.)

DJ-"'My sickness was going to kill me. So... I took her body from her. I lived on in her body. That's fine, right? Because we're 'friends'. She gave me her body... because we're 'friends'. So, today... We should play some more. Right? Viola?' What?"

(Then, there was a crashing sound and a legless girl was crawling towards them. DJ dropped the book and held tight to Viola.)

Ellen-"...gha...uhhg.........ghj...."

(Just before they knew it, it chased after them. They ran out from the room and all over the house, trying not to be caught by the legless girl. They make it to the front and ran right out it. Even though they were out and it seemed like the girl would not chase them anymore, they kept on running until they were back to the beginning. However, Shun stopped because he saw a note on the floor and picked it up. He continued when he heard his master's voice calling to him. They made it to the entrance that was blocked, but Viola spilled what was in the small bottle on it and they disappear. It soon began to rain as they continued to run.  After a moment, they see two people looking around. One looked like a teen and the other looked like an older looking man. When they heard them coming, they turned towards them.)

VF-"...Viola?"

(DJ had a feeling that that was Viola's father, so she put the little girl down and the man ran up to her.)

VF-"Is that you, Viola? Are you safe?! Are you hurt anywhere?"

(The little blond shook her head.)

VF-"Whew, thank goodness... You were pretty late, so I'd been searching the whole forest. I'm just glad you're okay. Let's get home and out of the rain."

(They all nod and were about to move out, but heard something come their way. Team Ninja quickly ran out of the way, but Shun tripped and fell. It grabbed onto his leg and pulled it's self-closer. Tears felled down Shun's face as he was frozen with fear.)

Ellen-"Dhh...Gha...thh....gh....gh..."

DJ-"HEY WITCH!!!"

(She froze when she saw DJ holding the father's rifle up to her.)

DJ-"Leave. Shun. A. Lone!"

(With two shots, she killed it. After that, the body disappeared leaving behind a bloody trail. DJ dropped the gun, ran to the little Hawk who was now crying, picked him up and cradled him.)

Shun-(Sobs.)"I-I-I-I was scared...Master."

DJ-"I know. It's over now."

Isaac-"What the hell just happened? Where were you guys?"

DJ-"It's a long story. I'll tell you later."

Isaac-"Okay. I parked the Gummi Ship nearby when I saw this man    looking for his daughter and here she is with you."

VF-"Thank you for your help."

Isaac-"You're welcome."

VF-"And thank you for looking after my daughter."

DJ-"All in a day's work, sir. You gonna be okay, Viola?"

(The little girl nodded.)

DJ-"Good."

(With that said, they followed Viola and her dad out of the forest and with one last farewell, they left on their ship.)

DJ-"That was a nightmare. I'm going to bed after I have a nice, tall glass of tea."

Apollo-"Don't you mean 'cup'?"

DJ-"Shut up, Apollo."

Ari-"DJ, where's Shun?"

DJ-"He cried himself to sleep, so he's resting in the break room."

Ari-"The poor thing. I hope he doesn't get nightmares."

(In the small bedroom. Shun laid, facing the wall unable to sleep. He pulls out the note he found and tries to make out the characters written on them.)

Shun-"'D-dear V-Viola, I'm sorry for yelling at you yesterday. T-there's an     old l-legend that says a w-witch lives in the forest, and kidnaps    children who get lost there. Your f-friend's house is very near the f-   forest. So...I was w-worried about you. Your friend's name was E- Ellen, right? I d-don't...'"

(He noticed it was torn and thought for a moment. Then, he remembered the other piece he picked up earlier. He pulls it out and sees that it fits.)

Shun-"'mind if you go to her h-house, but just s-stay away from the forest.     H-hope to see you home soon. -Dad.' This is a letter to Viola from her    dad. I should've told Master, but she's safe now, but why do I have a   bad feeling about this? Maybe Darkus could tell me."

(He falls asleep. When they land in Mystery Tower, they were greeted by Yen Sid and King Mickey. DJ was too tired to tell them what happened and let the others do it. She got her cup of tea and went to her room. What she didn't expect was a book on her bed. She picked it up and sat down. The book was called "Demons and Witches". She took a sip of her tea.)

DJ-"I've had enough about witches to last me a life time."

(She flips it open and two papers fall out. She ignored them and scanned the pages.)

DJ-"' 'Demons' feed on human souls. But 'demons' are without physical   form, so they cannot kill. 'Witches' offer souls to 'demons'. In return, 'demons' give 'witches' magic. A human who makes a pact with a ' demon' is referred to as a 'witch'.' Is that right. Hm?"

(She takes another sip and picks up the two pages. They seem to be diary entries. Maybe they're like the ones from the witch's house.)

DJ-"'When I X my father and mother... A demon came along and ate the two of them. The demon took me to this forest. It thanked me for the meal and gave me this house. Then I became a witch. The demon said... If you let me eat more people, I'll teach you a spell to cure your illness'. I see. So a demon must've been helping the witch when we were trying to escape."

Darkus-"Not quite."

(On the other side of the room, stood a man that looked to be in his 20s.)

DJ-"What do you want, Darkus?"

Darkus-"I heard you ran into a witch."

DJ-"And?"

Darkus-"I'm not sure if I want to spoil it for you. Why don't you read the        last page?"

DJ-"Were you the one who put this in my room?"

Darkus-"No, but I was looking for you earlier and saw it already there. It        intrigued me, so I read it."

DJ-"Did you see who might've put it there?"

Darkus-"Nothing, but a black cat. I thought it was Shun trying to be cute,        but it had an odd feel about it."

DJ-"A black cat? Did it say anything?"

Darkus-"It scratched me when I tried to pet it and said, 'Yo. Make sure the       scary girl gets this.' and left in a poof of smoke."

DJ-"I see."

(She holds up the last page.)

DJ-"Care to read it to me? You know I like to be read to."

(He smiled.)

Darkus-"Sure."

(He takes the paper out of her hand, sat down next to her and scanned over it first with a huge grin on.)

Darkus-"'She was sure to hear out my wish. Because she was so kind.        Because she was so trusting. When we traded bodies... Viola, you       must have been surprised. My body was falling apart. It hurt all       over. I was used to it, but I suppose you couldn't take it. It must      have hurt. You cried in pain. So then I gave you medicine. A throat-     burning medicine. It made you unable to speak. After all, I didn't    want to hear my own screams. Since I lied that it would stop the  pain, of course you would drink it. Heehee. Then I escaped from this room. In the garden, I felt the gentle breeze. Ah...It was wonderful. Ah, that's right. Before you came, I gouged my eyes out. I cut off my legs. So that Viola, in my body, would despair as she died. Ahhh... Viola. My dear 'friend'. So kind, so charming, so loved. And with all that, so foolish. My dear 'friend'.' What a true friend."

DJ-"Wait! Are you saying that the Viola we were with was actually the witch?"

Darkus-"I'm not just saying it, I read it. The witch switch bodies with this       Viola-girl before you even arrived on the scene."

DJ-"But that also means that us being there was no accident, we were actually sent by Viola needing help. We need to head back and---."

Darkus-"Whoa there, little girl. You can't."

DJ-"What do you mean? It's not hard to use magic if we already know it."

Darkus-"That's not it."

DJ-"What then?"

Darkus-"When someone makes a pack with a demon, the demon is bound to         that contract until the end. In this girl's case, she wanted a       healthy body. She fed the demon souls until she met Viola.      Wanting a better body, the demon gave her a spell that could switch     bodies. After a while of earning her trust, they decided to switch, but   since the witch lied to her, the girl vowed to take her body back and  with the little magic that was left trapped the witch. Promising the witch health, the demon made sure she got her wish and feasted on the poor girl's soul. How do you feel know?"

DJ-"It's like being with you all over again. I should've known that Viola was actually the witch. She was extra scared when we were about to enter her bedroom. I feel bad. Can you find Viola in Hell and tell her I'm sorry."

Darkus-"Could be hard since I don't particularly like Hell...or demons."

(DJ puts a hand on his shoulder.)

DJ-"I don't care. Now, get out so I can rest."

Darkus-"Phffft!"

(He gets up, walks over to the dark side of room and opens up a Black Hole.)

Darkus-"Oh! Don't forget, if you do meet a demon again, you'r soul will always be mine and mine alone."

DJ-"What about my friends and Shun?"

Darkus-"I'll turn them into mindless slaves like Mike...and sell Shun's to the highest bidder."

DJ-"You're weird."

(He just smiles and leaves. Could this really be the end or could they find a way to help Viola from the clutches of Hell??? No! This is the end. There's no way of saving poor Viola if you think about it and if you do, you suck.)
